Sorry Folks, We Are Having Technical Difficulties
June 26, 2009- (The Views of this blog are the views of Bryan Benway, and may not be the views of the Laredo Bucks organization). Oh Hi Friends. Thanks for checking in here today, I know you all are looking for the "Behind the Bench" interview with El Presidente. Well, it's going to have to wait until next week. Awww shucks.
Long story short (no seriously, long story short) my lap top had a problem today so I can't post up the interview with Coach until sometime next week (that's when i'll get the part that I need to fix it). I really do apologize, and if you paid money to read the site I would give you all cash refunds. But the good news is that you didn't pay to read the site, so I don't have to give you refunds. In all seriousness just check back sometime next week for Rosco's interview, I'll let you know hopefully a day in advance. Thanks.
Well, since there's no interview today, let's talk about some other things shall we?
I was in Rosco's office today chatting it up before I leave for vacation tomorrow, and we were talking about some of the players that are really close to signing, and let me tell you they will help the Bucks a lot. Hopefully all of the guys that Coach and I spoke about sign, because you will like them. I guarantee that you already know some of them from other CHL teams, and that they have proved themselves on the CHL stage. Let's hope that Rosco pulls the rabbit out of the hat and gets these guys here.
FYI, we still will be announcing a player signing early next week so look out for that. This guy won't blow you away, but he could be a good fit if he plays like our scouts think he can. So be on the lookout for that (probably Tuesday, let's hope).
Real quick, just a reminder that you have until Tuesday (June 30) to sign up or renew your season tickets and you will get a FREE, EXCLUSIVE Bucks dry fit polo for every seat in your account. They are really nice, so just call 718-BUCK (2825) to make sure you get that polo.
Ok, now let's move on to some other stuff throughout the CHL.
How about Daymen Rycroft signing down in Rio? This was one of the big guns that every team in the league was going after, and he will make a big impact with the Bees. I think it was a no-brainer for him to go back to the Valley, I mean he did play there for three seasons so he knows what to expect there.
Rio has a chance to be a real contender this season, and i'm sure that Rycroft is not the last piece of the puzzle.
For an interesting fact about Rycroft's last name check out Brian "The Sandman" Sandalow's blog.
The Missori Mavericks? What a bunch of Donkeys! They have a great logo, i'd like us to make a trip out there this season. I'm going to make a call about that.
I can't end the blog without paying respects to the greatest performer of all-time...... Michael Jackson. Regardless what you may think of him, he revolutionized the entertainment business, and I don't think that we will see a performer reach the heights of fame that he did ever again. And by the way, Billy Jean is not my lover.
As always, in the words of the great Bob Barker, "help control the pet population, have your pets spayed or neutered."
Until next time,
It will be a hot one in the old town tonight!
GO BUCKS GO!
